ANOTHER LOAN.
FOR PUBLIC WORKS AND LANI* SETTLEMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON-, Last Night, In the House "of Representatives this afternoon, ah Aid' to Public Works and Land Settlement Bill. providing Tor the raising of a loan of £1,750,000, was introduced' by Governor's message. Of the loan, £600,000 is intended for the construction of railways, £500,000 for additions to> open lines, £500,000 for land-settle' ment and development, and £150.000 for other public works. The Bill was read a first time.
