METHODIST MISSION.

This is the day of opportunity for New Zealand Methodism, and since the N.Z. Methodist Church has separated from the Australian Church, and, the Union of Methodist Churches of our Dominion has brought delight tb the souls of thousands, it means strength and power to all the forces of spiritual and evangelical aggression. Never had the Methodist a greater opportunity, and realising this, missioners have been brought from England and Australia. The Rev. Val. ffrigge, from' Victoria, one of the missioners, is at present in Masterton conducting ' a ten days' mission of inspiration upd appeal. The missioner occupied the pulpit in the local Methodist Church on Sunday both morning and evening, and gave interesting addresses in the Sunday school. On Monday evehifig a large and interested audience' attended the service, many both Sunday and! week night responding to the missioner's appeal and signing decision cards as an indication of the desire to live the Christian life. The services will 1 be continued every night this week, and on Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock a study on the_ Holy Spirit will take place. An invitation to all is .given to be present. Alexander hymn books are used, and a pleasing feature of these services is the hearty singing by a large choir.
