Mr Gordon Webber, member for Abbotsford in the Victorian Legislative Assembly, and the first Labourite to-, be elected the Jlfajor of Richmond/ aroused, comment "by .'omitting the, loyal toast at; He gave inark 'jlafe.' He explains: "I omitted' it because I consider it to be superfluous. Person-; ally, I am a Republican. The King is only a figure-head,. and! as such he, is recognised. In saying this Ido not consider I am not loyal." !
