HOME MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London Souse: "Tallow.—We v quote present' spot values for the following descriptions: Fine l mutton 38s per cwt, good beef 35s 6d per cwt, mixed 33s per cwt. The market is inactive. Wheat.—We have sold ah •Australian cargo at 36s l£d c.i.f. The market is firm but inactive owing to bad weather.: The United Kingdom outlook is uncertain. We quote per quarter c.i.f. New Zealand wheat: Longberried 3-le, sbortbeiried, 33s s 6d. ! Oats.—-We quote gartons , 21s 6d, | sparrowbills 21s 6d. The outlook is i discouraging."

CLEARING SALE. The N..Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency 00., Ltd., report 1 having held a very successful clearing sal© on account Mr Arthur Harris, Taratahiroad, on Thursday last. There was a good attendance of buyers and competition was good throughout the sale. Black face hoggets made I4s 6d, medium w.f. } do. 13s 9d, ewes with : lambs at, foot, 17s to 21s. 6d, aged light draught horses £lO to £27 10s, cows £6 to £7 Ss } calves 30s, bull £4 7s 6d, yearling heifers £2 10s, binder £2l, • swamp plough £ls, drill £l4 and other implements and sundries at < full market rates.
