LACK OF NATIVE LABOUR. DISMISSAL OF WHITES. (Received September 2, 8.50 a.m.) JOHANNESBURG, Sept. 1. The mine-owners explain that lack of native labour, owing to the recent riots, has necessitated the dismissal of many whites. A mass meeting of miners declared that victimisation was rampant. There were a number of violent speeches. One speaker stated that a general strike would be necessary before the men were starved out.
