TAXATION" PROPOSALS. (Received Last Night, 8.10 o'clock.) SYDNEY, August 28. Mr J. H. Cann, State Treasurer, anticipates that the new taxation will produce three-quarters of a million revenue. The proposals, however, are contingent upon the present Government surviving the elections and will not be enforced during the life of the present Parliament. [ln a cable received yesterday, Mr J. H. Oann (State Treasurer) announced that the Government's taxation proposals to meet the deficit would involve a revision of the income tax and stamp duties.]
