1 "f DUE TO EXPOSURE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) IN V EEC ARC ILL, Last Night. Whilo two mon warned McDonald and Mason were proceeding along the road in the vicinity of Lumsden, they were attracted by t-lui peculiar behaviour of a dog. , The men followed the animal into some rushes, where a man named David Mu i r lay, and by his side was a whisky flask. " He was removed to comfortable surroundings, and looked after by the men; but he expired next mo filing. An inquest was held, at which evidence was given to the effect that the deceased was ■sixty years of ago, and single, without any in Now Zealand. He was employed at Centre Hill station, near Lumsden. ' A verdict was returned that death | was due to heart failure, brought by exposure, while in indifferent health.
