BIBLE-IN-SCHOOLS.
(By. Tdegraph — Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. The Rev. P. W. Glarkson, who has just completed a successful Taranaki campaign in support of the Bible-in-State Schools League, gave a public lecture to-night. The following resolution was unanimously carried: — That this meeting is in favour of the platform of the League, and pledges itself to support the demand for the referendum. The Anglioan and Presbyterian congregations of New Plymouth on Sunday, stood at the end of the services as a protest against Mr A. R. At-? kittson's reported words:—"That it was very singular that the forces working for the Bible-in-sehools movement were a mixture of religious bigotry and political cant."
