BIG STRIKE.
10.000 WORKERS GO OUT. (Received Last Night, 10.10 o'clock.) LONDON, August 26. Ten thousand skilled workers in the building trades in London have struck. It is possible that 50,000 labourers will join them. Earl Beauchamp, Commissioner of Works, refused to advance the wages of labourers under the Board of Works, and suggested that the matter be settled by arbitration.
