ADVERTISING THE TOWN.
The Palmerston North Borough Council has instituted a movement for advertising the borough as a place of residence. Besides circulating kinematograph films throughout the Dominion, it intends issuing a handbook, jwirioh will give particulars regarding the various attractions of the place. This ia an example which
might well be followed by We see Napier, New Plymouth, Palmerston North and other places "boosting" their townships, and in Masterton we are satisfied to remain inactive. This is not creditable to our public men. There is no township in New Zealand that presents greater attractions than Masterton, from a- residential point of view. Why, then, should we hide our light beneath a; bushel? Let us get busy, and cell the world about our goods. These are days when townships, as well as individuals, must advertise, and advertise thoroughly, if they wish to succeed.
