TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST.
WELLINGTON, Last Night.
The Rev. D. O. Bates, of the Meteorological office, last evening wired as follows: —
Low atmospheric pressure exists both to the northward and to the southward, the two systems accounting for slight barometric gradients; and though a northerly gale is now reported at Kaikoura, the.winds generally are only moderate to strong. Unsettled and gloomy weather iias spread to many parts of the country. Present indications are for strong northerly winds, changing by west to southerly in from twenty-four to thirty-six hour®, the barometer falling in the meantime. Cloudy and unsettled weather is probable generally, and heavy rain may be expected and some enow on higher levels in the south.
