FURTHER CASES IN SYDNEY. Received" This Morning, 12.30 o'clock. - SYDNEY, August 18. There has been a recrudescence of smallpox during the last few days. Twelve cases were discovered today, making sixty-seven patients <nqw in quarantine, with 173 convalescents. Four suspicious "cases, are reported in different country districts, including a shearer at Balranaia, who is a Victorian. He has never been in Sydney. <• A WELLINGTON CASE. SEAMAN AFFECTED. {By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. About 6.30 o'clock this evening the quartermaster of the steamer Delphic visited a local doctor suffering with a rash. The case has been diagnosed as an advanced stage of smallpox. The man joined the vessel at Auckland last Wednesday. The vessel h strictly quarantined to-night. Several coal-lumpers, who were engaged bunkering the Delphic, were detained on board by the police. The stevedores, who worked the cargo, and; a ! number of others who visited the Delphic have gone to their homes. I The authorities will decide to-morrow what will be done.
