.. RECRUIT LEVIES. . * (Received August 18, 10.30 a.m.) VIENNA, August 1-7. It is proposed to raise the annual recruit levies of the army to 260,000. Of the additional 40,000, 28,000 will go to the army and 2000 to the navy, the remainder going to the landwehr (reserve). It is also proposed to increase the number of cavalry and artillery.
