After prayers for rain in all, the churches, the greatest drought in the history of Kansas has broken. Enormous da-mage has been caused to the crops. The temperature in some of the cities reached lOOdeg. Fahrenheit daily for weeks. The mines were compelled to close because of a water famine. Showers are now general.
