The Masterton Oun Club held a sweepstake clay-bird match with £5 added by the club on the Renallstreet grounds oh Saturday last. There were a fair number of shoot--ists, and the shooting was good. The veteran- R. J. King won the 'match, killing the possible—24. McCalmont (22) and Smart (22) divided the second prize. The coming visit to New Zealand next month of the New South Wales League football team should he f> ogod holiday for the visitors, and probably a good paying proposition as well.
