THE Wairarapa Age MORNING DAILY. MONDAY, AUGUST 18, 1913. OBITUARY.—MR JAMES BROWN.
It is with profound grief that we record the death this morning of Mr James Brown, the aruch-loved and respected Managing Director of thiis paper. With his career a? a public man ,we have dealt in another part of this issue! As a man of business and a private citizen, he was universally esteemed, \ while, as an employer, he: was sympathetic, generous, and kindly to a degree. His memory will live in the affections of the whole of his staff, and his amiaible presence will be sadly missed. There was, perhaps, no man in the whole community for whom greater respect was entertained than for the late MiBrown, on account of his genial disposition, his probity of character, and his sterling qualities. As a paper we imourn his loss, for h«»was one of nature's gentlemen, to whom one could look for sympathy in distress, and for advice and assistance whenever it was May his departed spirit rest in* peace.
