BUTTER AND CHEESE.
BUYERS SCOURING THE COUNTRY. Butter and cheese buyers are (says the Pahiatua Herald) beginning once more to appear upon the scene. Three or four are at present roaming round the -®ush, interviewing the directors of dairy companies. • Both the Papatawa (near Woodville) and the Hopelands (Kumeroa) cheese companies have sold the ensuing season's output at prices which will provide for the suppliers receiving at least Is 2d per lb for their butter fat. This is. considered very satisfactory. , The Mangarama Cheese Company held its annual meeting on Saturday afternoon. The Mangatainoka Dairy Company will meet on the 18tli inst. to fix a date on which to meet the buyers. , The Rexdale Company will hold its annual meeting towards the end of the present month.
