SUPPOSED MURDER.
.(Received Last Night,' 9.2(M> o'clock.) MELBOURNE, August 11. The body of an old man named Riohard Knight, was found. near his hut. He lived alone. - His head was almost blown off with a- gun. It is suspect**] that he was murdered, robbery being the motive. A gun was found in the. scrub near the body. -Knight was possessed of considerable nnoney, but it is not believed by the Banks that he left.it in his house. The hut was recently robbed, and Knight then declared that he intended carrying his money about with him in his pockets. No money was found on the body; or in the hut.
