CARTERTON STOCK SALE. Messrs W. and G. Turnbull and Co Ltd. (late Jas. Maicntosh and, Co.), renort having held .their usual fortnightly sale in their- Carterton GbleyarOs oh Friday, Bth mst, when they offered a good yarding of shoep and cattle well ahove advertised numbers, to a good attendance <pf buyer?. The sheep entry was practically of ewes in lamb which did not meet with v*ry "good competition, but empty ewes and \ hoggets were well, competed for and. practically the whole yarding was "sold. The cattle entry was large and competition being keen, throughout, there was a good clearance. There was a : good entry of pigs, which met a very keen market.
