AN INTERESTING REVIEW.
An interesting, and quife refreshing feature of tho address delivered by the retiring President of the Masterton. A. and P- Association at the annual .meeting on Saturday last, was his review of the markets of the world as they affect- the primary producer; Mr Morrison must have gone to considerable trouble in preparing his data. The conclusions he has arrived at "may not all be justified by the progress of events. In most cases, however, he has mado deductions' which will stand the closest scrutiny. There is very littlo rooai to doubt that keen competition is to be expected in tho future from South Africa as'well as the Argentine. Both of these, countries are much nearer the Home market than Australia and New Zealand. In our own Doiiinion, however, we are specially favoured in the matter of seasons, and if we devote sufficient attention to the improvement of our flocks and herds, and adopt an up-to-datb system for marketing our produce, we should have no reason for apprehension concerning the future.
