AUTOMOBILE EXHIBITS.

The automobile is now regarded as essential to the up-to-date farmer. It enables him to transact his business with expedition, and to enjoy more fully than over tho fruits of his labour. Why should we not have an automobile trial and exhibit in connection with our A. and P. shows ? The trial could be conducted on show day, under the auspices of tho Automobile Association, making the showground the terminus. Then, in the grand parade, tho whole of the cars that had taken part in the trial might be placed in the ring. What a fine spectablo it would present! Apart from the spectacular effect, the assembling of cars on the show ground would be a splendid advertisement for the makers of cars. We offer the suggestion to the Masterton and Wairarapa A. and P. Associations as a further means of popularising their jjinua! gatherings.
