TO-DAYS WEATHER.
The Rev. D. C. Bates wired on Saturday last:— Weather getting worse. The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, but westerly heavy gale after about twenty-four hours. The weather will probably be dull and overcast. Heavy rain is to be expected, with rivers flooded. Barometer rising -temporarily, but falling fast again- after 24 hours.
