UPPER PLAIN RAINFALL.

. Mr J. C. Boddington reports that rain fell on twelve days, in Julyv The maximum fall in 24 hours was 47 points, registered on the 12th, and the minimum 3 points on the 7th and 24th. The total for the month Was 1.65 inches, as compared with, 2.97, 2.47, 5.98, 3.22, 6.61, 3,70, 7.54, 7.56, and 13 inches for July 1904, 1905, 1906, 1907, 1908, 1909, 1910, 1911, and 1912 respectively. The total for seven months is 22.27 inches, as compared with 23.38, 26.68,29.39, 21.17, 21.55, 26.54> 26.97, and 32.26 inches for the corresponding period in 1904, 1905; 1906, 1907, 1908, 1910, 1911, and 1912 respectively. There was frost on 14 nights, the heaviest being 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13 degrees.
