MINERS' FEDERATION.
THE MINIMUM WAGE. AND THE LABOUR PAPER. (SYDNEY , "SUN" SPECIAL.) (Received Last .Night, 7.10 o'clock.) LONDON, August 1. The .Miners Federation has passed 41, resolution in favour of a minimum wage of five shillings per day for ■surfacemen. It did not approve of members "Contributing a shilling per annum as - -» free grant to the Labour paper, Daily Citizen?' It recommend•ed, instead, the investing of a sum equal to v a shilling a member for three years, with the provision that »t secures representation on the • Board of Directors of the paper.
