THE Wairarapa Age MORNING DAILY. SATURDAY, AUGUST 2, 1913. COUNCIL OF AGRICULTURE.

A year or two back, the Masterton A. and P. Association advocated the formation of a controlling Council of Agriculture for New. Zealand. The chief mover in the project was Mr William Perry, who saw the necessity for some body possessing better status than that of the Executive of the A. and P., Conference The matter was referred to the various Associations in the Dominion, but there was a certain amount of scepticism, and suspicion in the minds of some/of the Associations. . It was quite erroneously stoted that the objective was the formation of a Royal Agricultural Society.
