MASTERTON DAIRY COMPANY.

ANNUAL REPORT. The following annual report of the Masterton Co-operativo Dairy Company for the year ended Juno 30th, 1913, was adopted at a meeting of the directors of the company on Saturday afternoon:— I The output of butter for the , was 223,4901b5,' as against 180,1141bs for the previous year, an incresw of 43,3761b5. The result of the .year's transactions is a net profit of £•< 16 19s 9d, which, with the balance from ■last year of £137 7s Bd, irakes v total of £684 7s sd, which the Dire-tors .have allocated as follows :—linal payments to suppliers £6lB 13s lOd; balance to carry forward £66 4s sd, —Total £684 18s 3d. The final payment is equal to one shilling per pound for creamery butter-fat and twelve pence halfpenny for itome separated. Your Directors also propose to write off from the reserve fund the sum of £3OO for depreciation off premises and aiid plant. The creamery at Nikau was re-opened at the 'beginning of the season''w ith sat-. , isfactory results to all parties. Your I Directors have to record their appreciation of the valuable assistance rendered by Messrs G. R. Sykes and J. Escott, M's.P., in securing much needed road improvements in the Nikau district. This work will enable a number of farmers in that dis- , trict to bring in their supplies to the I creamery. There being indications of a large influx of supplers from i all-parts of the surrounding districts j | your Directors have been taking steps | in tfie matter of a system of cream | collecting,, and to afford an oppontnnf ity for fully discussing the question, an invitation (has been given the in-tending-suppliers to be preset!? at the annual meeting, when the subject can be effectively dealt with. During the year Mr W. R1 Boyd resigned his seat on the directorate. Your Directors decided to take no. action to fill the vacancy until the district representation arranged. The retiring Directors are Messra P. Cotter, E. Harper, and E.- J. 'Wright, who are eligible for re-election.
