The King,. at Buckingham Palace, pinneid fifty-nine Polar medals to members of the Scott Expedition, the recipients including Lady Scott, Mesdames Wilson and Evans, and the mothers of Lieutenant Bowers and Captain Oates. He also gave W. Lisliley (assistant to the motor engineer).. andLPetty Officer Crean Albert medals.: • Silver Polar medals were given to those who made more than one voyag£, and bronze medals to the rest.
