HORSES STAMPEDE.
DURING MILITARY MANOEUVRES. (SYDNEY "SUN" SPECIAL ) (Received July 24, 8.80 a.m.) LONDOfy July 23. During'military manoeuvres at Elctead, Surrey, picketed horses belonging to the Queen's Bays, alarmed by the crackle of rifles in the darkness stampeded. Some sleeping soldiers wefe injured, and many of the animals were so hurt that they had to be idestnoiyed.
