TENUI
A very successful gathering : was held in the Tenui Hall oh Friday list, ud the foam of a euchre tournament in aid of the Tenui Tennis Club. The tournament was kept up till 10.30 o'clock. From then dancing was indulged in till a late hour. The successful competitors were: Lady/Miss iHlkxn; gent, Mr E. Southey. This [ was the largest gathering held at TeInui for some considerable time. Should thiey be lucky enough to have another, one or two such successful evenings, the~ Tenui Tennis Clv.b should ibe financially strong and wo 1 ! aible to carry out the work that is .:: much needed to pub the courts i" first-class order. The Tennis Club '■. very fortunate in having two sucli energetic workorw as Mr and Mrs Bariholomew. If it was not for thes# two, the club would not be half as ptroiig us it is to-day.
