SECOND DAY'S RESULTS, (Continued.)

The Masterton Town. Hall was again* well filled last evening when the various competitions *were .continued. The performances of the numerous competitors were distinctly good, and gained well-merited ap? plause from the audience. A feature of the evening was the meritorious performance of Miss Lulu Arnold, of Wellington, who was, placed first in the Musical Monologue,, Ladies' Recitation and, with Mr Devereaux, in the Shakespearian) Dialogue. The decision of the judge was not given in the Ladies' Humorous Recitation. In the Vocal Quartette (male) only the Pahiatua Quartette Party took part. Probably the St. Matthew's Quartette will contribute to* Thursday evening's programme. Norman Aitken gave a very successful Comedietta last evening, entitled "The Real Q." Three characters took part in the piece, which was of an exceedingly interesting nature.
