HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
, MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting of the committee of the" Masterton Horticultural Society was held on Monday night, in the A. and P. rooms, the following memhers being present: Messrs. G. W. - Sellar (in-the chair), J. C. Alpass, J. S. Berriman, J. Ca&lberg, R.<G. Dixon, E. Hale, A. Henderson, W. Kemp, E, P. Mountfort, J. B. Nicol, and L. Robinson. An. apology for absence -was received from' Mr Varnham. The chairman took the opportunity of thanking those present for r%-electing him President for the ensuing year, which he hoped, would he as successful ,as" the past. It was decided that a spring show be held this year, and that the, President and secretary make arrangements for obtaining a suitable hall. The following were appointed a echedtile '^committee:— Messrs G. W. Sellar, E. Hale, G. C. Summerell, J. S. Berriman,' R. G. Dixon, W. Kemp, Mesdames D. M, Graham, E. R. Howell and EC. T. Wood. # The resignation of Mrs R. 0. Smith from the committee was accepted with regjfet. It was unanimously decided that a letter of thanks and appreciation be forwarded to Mr and Mrs J. B. Moodie, who are leaving Masterton for Wellington, both of whom had taken a keen, and Nanthusiasfic interest in the welfare <||||he' Society as members of the' c|||pj|ttee and exhibitors. The scheduTETjeommittee will meet next Monday : night, 28th iust., at 8 o'clock in the secretary's office.
