MASTERTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
MEETING OF COUNCIL. The monthly meeting of the Council of the Masterton Chamber of Cot merce was held at the A. and P. rooms yesterday afternoon, there being present: {Messrs <. C. E. Daniell (chairman), A. Henderson, G. C. Snmmerell, E. P. Mountfort, J. B. Keith, P. T. Spain, G. W. Sellar, H. H. Donald and R. Brown. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs James Brown, W. B. Chennellg, D. M. Graham, D. Iv. Logan, and G. H. Perry. The treasurer reported a credit balance of £4 4s 83. A letter w»s read from the Wellington Wool'brokers' Aissociation, stating that anything over a 48-inch pack will, after the ensuing season, be considered an outside size, and a chnrge of Is per bale, in addition to ordinary extra charges, will be made on wool in such packs. This decision has become necessary, owing to the increased amount of warehouse labour caiised by a diversity of sizes.
