A pox in Sydney and -of cases of suspected Small-pox in the North Island of New Zealand, the Department of Public Health urges every person to take advantage of the protection afforded by vaccination. Vaccination is performed free of charge to the public by the Public Vaccinators, ifcwo of whom will be in attendance at the Offices of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Boa\d, Dixon-street, Masterton, between the hours of from 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. on week days, and 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. on Sundays until further notice. Chief Health Officer, in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by Section 18 of the Public Health Act, 1908, do hereby forbid any Maori in the North Island of New Zealand to leave any place in which Maoris reside and which place is supposed to be infected with a dangerous infectious disease unless lie proves to the satisfaction of an inspector appointed for the purpose that ne has been vaccinated within one month previously or unless he produces a certificate which shows to the satisfaction of such inspector that he is not likely to convey infection.
