IMPORTANT DISPERSAL SALF. STUD AND GRADE HOLSTEINS. CHOICE DAIRY HEARD COWS. A sale that should create a great deal of interest amongst all dairy farmers and fanciers of Hotetein oattle. will bo held at Rongotea on Tuesday, 22nd inst., on account of Mr Charles Hopping, wiho has disposed of his property. The studs include ihe famous bull "Dominion de Kol Domino," dam the champion State Farm cow "Domino," whose record for 1911-1912 season reads 22,Q611bs milk, 787.581bs butter fat, a really remarkable performance. The other stud bulls comprise one 4-year bull bred by the New Zealand Government, one 4-year bull bred by Mr W. I. Lovelock, one yearling and one 2-year old bull of Newton King strain, and one 6-weeks bull calf by •Grigg bull "Belted Knight." The dam of this bull "Longbeach Ideal," also bred by Mr J. 0. N. Grigg, is amongst the females to be offered, and her record for June last shows 56Jl'bs of milk per day. Three Grigg bred heifers bred to "Longbeach. Baited • Knight," and three State F.arm heifers, bred to "Oak de Kol," comprise the halanoe of the stud females, with tihe exception of 2 pure bred Appendix 11. COWIS. * Th« grade Holstieins include one particularly nice' yearling bull by a Section I. sire, dam Appendix 11. cow, and a 150,34 grade yearling Hoistein heifer a and 23 grade yearling bulls, all by stud bulls. The dairy herd, .which comprises some 46 grade Holstein and 49 Jer-sey-Shorthorn cross cows, is without a doubt one of the very best in tihe district, the cows being all young, in excellent order, and are nearly all July and August calvers. As Mr Hopping has sold his farm, every lot (with the exception of the stud, on which there mil only be a slight reserve) will be sold absolutely to the highest bidder.
