REPRESENTATIVE MATCH. The Wairar:;i:i »i-nior representative football tivilli will play a match against the Haivue's Bay touring representatives on the old show grounds this afternoon. The visitors arrived last evening from Paliutua, where they played a great, g;rno against the Bush Union. The, Wairarapa team will be considerably wakened by N. Johnson being unable to play. His placo as hooker will !,i« token by Charlie Ross, and C. Welch will play in the bock row. The i;»rae should provide a very even contest. NORTH ISLAND TEAM. The selectors for tho North Island (Messrs V. R. Meredith, Mynott and Gallaher) have chosen the following team to represent the North Island in tho annual Rugby match against the South Island, to be played at Christehurch on .July 26th :*—fullback, O'Leary (Auckland); threequarters. -McGregor (Auckland), Roborts (Taranaki) and Stohr (Taranaki); five-eights, Geddes (Auckland) and Ramsclen (Wellington); half, E. Roberts (Wellington); wing forward, Dustin (Wangauui); forwards, -Sellars (Auckland), Giin (Taranaki), Gillespie (Wellington), McKenzie (Wairarapn), Paton (Wellington), Wilson (Wellington), and Bruce (Auckland).
