TROUBLE IN CHINA.
REPORTS OF FIGHTING. (SYDNEY "SUN" SPECIAL.) (Received July 16, 8.30 a.m.) PEKIN, July 15. There are reports of fighting between tho Government troops aJid t\ local forceg at Kiangsi, also- of'restlessness in -the Southern Yang-tse^ [There has been trouble in Kiangsi for some time. On May 31st the Central China, Post stated -.—Further news of the investment of the borders of Kiangsi anil Anhiwei provinces by Northern troops yesterday. In addition our Kiukiang correspondent wrote (under date May 24th) that Kiangsi soldiers had been rmoving there all that day, and that junkloads of them were lying up the creek, bound, for Wusueh (meaning probably the landing opposite Wusueh on the Kiangsi side of the border). General Li has sent troops to Tungshan on the border of Kiangsi. Honan is now; overwhelmed with troops, and there is great demand for provisions for soldiers. The Truth has wired to ask General Li to allow the transportation of rice to • Honan from Hupeh.]
