THE SIMPLON TUNNEL.
TRAINS BLOCKED. (SYDNEY "SUN" SPECIAL.) *- (Received Last Night 6.30 o'clock.) v BERNE, July 12. The mechanism of the heavy iron door at the Swiss entrance to the Simplon tunnel, which is utilised in the evont of an invasion, became dislocated. The door was closed, and trains were Mocked for many hours.
