THE DAIRY FARMERS' CHANCE
The opportunity to obtain first-class dairy cows at the buyer's own figure will be afforded at Mr S. R. Lancaster's annual unreserved sale, which, takes place at his Homestead, Fitzherbert East, Palmerston North, on Tuesday and Wednesday, 29th ami 30th insts. The 600 head to be offered comprise" specially seleceted cows and heifers from the best herds ita the district, and also 100 head which have been milked on the vendor's own farms. Practically the whole of the animals are high-grade Jerseys and Holsteins, the balance being Shorthorn cross of high milking quality, and a'choice line of twenty 3-year-old specially good Shorthorn heifers, just at the drop. Following his usual custom, Mr Lancaster will guarantee cows as to soundness, and also dates of calving, and this should ensure utmost confidence in intending purchasers. The pedigree Jerseys to be offered: include a fow choice females, and also thirty pedigree and purebred Jersey bulls, chiefly two-year-olds. The Jerseys will be sold on this first day, commencing at 12 noon, and the sale will continue, starting at 11 a.m., on the second day. • Conveyances will meet all trains*, and the sale will be conducted by Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., and the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., in conjunction.
