LATE COMMERCIAL.
PALMERSTON STOCK SALE. PALMERSTON N., Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report: At our Palmerston Noßh stock sale to-day we had a fair, yarding of sheep and a medium one" of cattle. The sheep generally were not of good quality, and the demand was dull. We managed, however, to quit the bulk of them at the following prices: Mixed woolly hoggets lis 6d to 12s,* small hoggets 6s <3d, inferior s.m. ewes in lamb 9s lOd, mixed aged ewes in lamb 15s 9d, fat ewes 13s 9d, 16s 9d to 17s 6d, forward empty ewes 12s to 12s 6d, cull ewes 3s 3d to 6s, empty s.m.h. heifers £4 7s, empty cows £3 lis to £4 ss, store cowfc-£3, guaranteed springing cows £8 2s 6d to £ll, dairy cows in calf £4 2s 6d to £5 17s 6d.
