WAIPOUA STOCK SALE
Messrs W. and G. Turnbull and Co. Ltd. (late Jas. Macintosh, and Co.), report having held their usual weekly sale in their \Vaipoua sale yards (MasI terton) on Wednesday, July 9th, 1913, when they offered a very good' yarding / of sheep and cattle, wdl above advertised numbers. Buyi rs were present from all parts of tie ' district, and competition being ve;v keen, the whole yarding ch.mg> d hands at prices well in advance < f late sales. The following prices were realised:—Fat wethers 20s 3d to 22 , fat ewes 17s (kl, 18s Ud, 20s, fat lam I . 14g 6d, fit wethers and maiden ewt t 18s 6d, fat and forward ewes 14s, 15s 4d to 16s Id, forward wethers and ewes 16s, woolly lambs 12s 2d, 13s [j4d to 14s, store lambs 12s to 12s 2d, b.f. lambs 10 s to lis sd, 4, 6 8-tooth to f.m. ewes in lamb Us to 13s 2d,, rams (potters) 8s to 9s; yearling heifer s £2 6s, 18-months heifers £2 18s 6d, store cows £1 15s, £2 15a, £2 17s, I£3 to £4 Is; dairy cows in milk £5 10s to £7 10s, bulls £B.
