The debate on the Address-in-Repiy has resolved itself into ® more or less childish display of "ycu'.re another" methods. The country is becoming tired of it, and will be glad to knowthat the curtain will probably be rung down to-day or-to-morrow. The constituencies are'more concerned about the placing upon the Statute Book of legislation •.which will assist in developing the latent resources, than they are About the sins of, omission and of this and other Govern- 1 ments. The public knows. very well that all Governments make mistakes. It knows that not oven Prime Ministers are infallible. But it wants the Massey Government to ,be given a reasonable opportunity of demonstrating thr.»t it is inspired with national j ideals, and is not- pandering to section- j al interests. By their fruits we shall j know tluvn. And. their fruits can i come only from the Sta'tuto Book. :
