About four years ago tKe Associated Chambers of Commerce in the Dominion, at a conference''in Wellington, considered arid adopted a suggested Bankruptcy Act. The Government is now tq be reminded.by, the Wellington Chamber that thte Act. which was framed at the -re--;' quest of the then Prim;? Minister has not been seen since. The matter was mentioned at the Chamber meeting to-day by Mr W. G. Duthie, who said that though the then Governmjnt had underta'ken to bring the Act before Parliament, nothing had since been '.heard of it. The Associated Chambers, in conference, had prepared the Act amd sent it on to the Government all ready for submission to the House, but it now appeared to be lo4t. On Mr Duthie's motion.; it was decided to ask the Government if. and when it intended to introduce . the Act in Parliament. .: j
