GUNPOWDER EXPLOSION.

The Daily Mail says that the militant Suffragette conspiracy, as an effective organisation, has been crushed by the "cat-and-mouse" Act, and is now without foundation, and practically leaderless.
Gunpowder placed in an" iron pipe exploded in a subterranean passage at the . Liverpool Exchange. Some damage w&s done.
William Ross has been arrested* on suspicion, of having set fire to the Salem Chapel and a number of other chapels in Wales. The collection boxes were robbed, and the fires started to cover up the thefts.

PIER SET ON FIRE. (Received July 8, 11 a.m.) LONDON, July 7. ■ .The Southport pier was soaked witfcu paraffin and ignited, but the flames were extinguished. -A shelter was destroyed. Suffragette literature was found on the scene.
