THE JURY'S VERDICT.

. TATHAPE, Last Night. At the inquest regarding the Ore Or* tragedy the evidence showed that. th» Maon girl hyed with Graham, near lloropitp, but on his showing signs; of peculiarity she left; him and wen*, to her relations at Otb ■ Ore. Graham, followed a rifle and took off hi» boots. He slipped in at the-door of the house where the girl was alone. Un hearing a noise she came into th* room where Graham hid behind the door and shot her fatally. Another Maori joman called out to the girl's aunt, Puta, who rushed to the house, and seizing a saw, attacked Grahamwith fatal results. A verdict was returned that the girl Nirite was shot by uraham, the jury expressing thaopinion that he was mentally unsound. Ihe verdict on Graham was that homet_his death from wounds inflicted? X **£*' ,* x! J ' uiy !> ein ß of opinion that the latter, under. the circumstances, was not to blame.
