SOUTH AFRICAN MINES IDLE,
Received This Morning, 12.25 o'clock LONDON, July 1. The miners' strike at Benoni ispreading. Troops have been, sent to the disturbed area.
The mines affected include Klen fontein, . Vauryn, Moddiefoiitein Brakpan, Vumyndeep, and Gedoud though* work at Kleinfontein has tiov, been almost fully resumed. Non-unionists at Vauryn are parti ally working the mines. *
