PROFESSOR BRAEMAR.
AT THE TOWN HALL. Those who put in an appearance at the Masterton Town Hall last evening were again able to witness the demonstrations of hypnotism, mesmerism and catalepsy as produced by Professor Braemar. Shortly after the performance commenced, the subject who was placed under an hypnotic sleep on Saturday afternoon awoke at the appointed time, apparently none the worse for his prolonged slumbers. A statutary tableau, in which local subjects took part, mesmerism, and hypnotism were freely demonstrated per medium of a number of tests, through which several of the subjects were put, such as milking cows, witnessing & football match, and selling newspapers, all of which created considerable merriment amongst the audience. If, as the Professor said las't evening, his object was to make his audience laugh,, that object was attained, as the result of the peculiar feats performed by the subjects. Professor Braemar will conclude his Masterton. pen son this evening, when demonstrations of a similar character will be given. He will aho have a special class of ladies on the stags, and the first part of the programme will be devoted to demonstrations and tests by the lady subjects., The swond part will as usual be taken by male subjects. This is the last opportunity which patrons will have of witnessing Professor Baemar's demonstrations.
