FACT DEPLORED. .(Received June 30, 11.30 a.m.) Papakura, a member of the Maori football team, in an address at tho .Redfern Methodist Church, deplored the decrease : i *he number of the Maoris, which lie largely attributed to vices introduced with civilisation. Touching on sport, he condemned the introduction of professionalism. The reason the Maoris had come to Sydney was to re-create interest in tho ?ood old amateur frame, as played under Rugby Union rules.
