THE ORE ORE TRAGEDY.
ANOTHER ACCOUNT. The Wanganui Chronicle of yesterday had the following concerning the Ore Ore tragedy .-—Further perticulim received early morning put a different complexion on. the affair. Graham, it is said, wanted to marry the girl, but ehe would not hear of it, and he threatened to do something desperate. On Saturday Graham got into the girl's bedroom unnoticed by her, aad h$ behind the dooj\. Whsu itheigirjoame in hd! shot tihpough the head, the bulledi goihg in at one ear and coming out at the other. She fell dead at his feet. . Graham knelt down over her. Meanwhile the girl's aunt, who had been getting potatoes, had heard the report of the gun, and hurried in to see what the mlitter was, picking up aripsaw as she entered the house. Graliam got lip to defend himself, but the womai. dealt him three savage blows on the head, 'and Graham fell unconscious. The Maori woman then left, and for two pr three hours till tie police and doctor arrived, no one. entered the room. It was then evident that Graham must have regained consciousness, or at any rate had been moving about the room, but he died shortly after the doctor arrived.
