Mr H. Kelly, of Mangainutu, who recently disposed of his farm, intends leaving with Mrs Kelly on a ■ trip to Ireland. Mr Joseph Dawson has been reappointed a member of the Wellington Land Board. . A wedding of much interest took place in St.. Luke's Church, Greytown, on Thursday afternoon, when Amy Victoria Emily Smith, second daughter of Mr H. S. Smith, a wellknown resident of Greytown, was married to Mr William James Futcber, second son of the late Mr Henry Putoher, of Pahiatua. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore grey chiffon taffetg. and the usual veil of orange blossoms, which were presented to her by her sister, Mrs A. M. King. She was attended by the Misses Pearl May Smith, niece of the bride, and Vera Salisbury, cousin, as bridesmaids, who wore grey velvet and hat, to match, with pink roses. Mi- Geo. Lyster acted as best man. MrC. H. Bowen, teller at the Bank of iNeW South Wales at Carterton, ha» received notice of his transfer to Palmerston North. Accompanied by Mns Bowen he will probably leave Carterton on Monday. Hie place at the Bank will be filled by Mr E. H. Burnside.
