C, Baties, of the Meteorological Office, this evening wired as follows:—- '■ I , Unsettled and cloudy weather has continued in the- northertt and East Coast districts of the North Island, and cold and ctotftgeaMa weather elsewhere; An easterly gale is reported again this evening ait ©Jape Brett near Russell r but moderate and more variable winds bow prevail.' Present indications ar« for moderate to- strong easterly winds- northwards of Hokitika and Kaikoura, and northerly winds elsewhere. Cloudy and unsettled weather, with rain northward of East Cape and Kawhia, and fair to cloudy weather generally, but foggy at times on the coasts. Barometer now unsteady, ; with a falling tendency. v - '
